Glas Tulaichan is a shapely peak when viewed from the east, rounder when viewed from the west. It sits on the eastern edge of the vast tract of Atholl hills. It is conveniently placed above Glen Lochsie to give a good day skiing.

The route starts at the old bridge, walk along the road to the Dalmunzie Hotel. At the hotel take the path to get to the Old Railway Line, and walk / ski along here to Glenlochsie Lodge. From here there is a track up the South ridge all the way to the summit. This track attracts snow. Often there is more snow on the east of this ridge. Either way, or indeed via the best snow on the day, the skier will reach the distinctive summit marked with a trig point.(11km. 730m. 0m. 5hr.0min)

The ascent of Glas Tulaichean may seem a drag but it is is compensated by the excellent long descent down the long SE ridge of the mountain. From the summit follow the ridge SE and then S to reach the unnamed top .827. Follow the ridge to Creag Bhreac. Now head for the col at NO078728 and from here take the less steep slopes to reach the bridge across Allt Ghlinn Thaitneich. Cross the river by the bridge. All that is left is the 3km back to the Spital of Glenshee. This is likely to be a walk. (10km. 0m. 730m. 3hr.0min)
