Geal Charn marks the S end of the Monadlaith Hills. There is a good snow holding coire on the east pf the hill but the slopes are steep. This route ascends from Garva Bridge where the side of the mountain is more suited to touring. However conditions are often not ideal for skiing. When in condition the rounded nature of the hill gives excellent touring.
From Garve Bridge follow the track then path on the SE of Feith Talagain to the Allt Coire nan Deargcag. Depending on snow conditions climb directly to the summit of Geal Charn keeping to the river if needed as this holds snow better than the open hillside. (7.5km. 640m. 0m. 3hr.50min)
Return via the uphill route. It is often bets to ski SE and then turn SW to find the top of the Allt Coire nan Deargcag and follow this until the snow runs out. (7.5km. 0m. 640m. 2hr.10min)
